Your Journey, Supported Every Step Of The Way.
Journey Supports is a registered NDIS provider delivering Positive Behaviour Support, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology across Melbourne and Victoria. Our Behaviour Support Practitioners and allied health team work alongside participants, families and care teams to understand behaviours of concern, reduce and eliminate restrictive practices, and build the skills people need in everyday life. We support each person on their journey, every step of the way.
Who We Are
At Journey Supports, we believe the person should always come before the plan. We work alongside participants and the people who are important in their lives to understand what a good life looks like for them and how we can help them get there. We know that everyone has their own story, strengths, challenges and goals. For that reason, our support is never based on a standard formula.
Instead, We take the time to build relationships, understand what matters to the person and develop supports that reflect their unique needs, preferences and aspirations.
Whether someone has complex support needs, is going through a major life change, or wants more independence and connection, our focus remains the same: helping people live meaningful lives, make their own choices, and be part of their community.
We work collaboratively with the participant and their support network, recognising that positive outcomes are achieved when people work together towards shared goals. Our role is to provide practical, evidence-informed support while ensuring the participant’s voice, rights and quality of life remain at the centre of all decision-making.
Three connected services,
delivered by one multidisciplinary team.
Positive Behaviour Support
A person-centred, evidence-informed approach to understanding behaviours of concern and improving quality of life. Our registered Behaviour Support Practitioners work alongside participants and their support networks to understand what is driving behaviours and develop practical, meaningful strategies that build skills, increase opportunities and reduce reliance on restrictive practices.
Occupational Therapy
Support to participate in everyday life with greater independence, confidence and safety. Our Occupational Therapists work with participants to understand their strengths, functional needs and goals, and provide recommendations around daily living skills, sensory needs, home environments, assistive technology and supports.
Speech
Pathology
Support to communicate, connect and participate in the world around them. Our Speech Pathologists help participants express their needs, preferences and choices, while supporting the development of communication skills and strategies that enable meaningful participation in relationships, activities and decision making.
Points of difference
Experienced, highly qualified practitioners. Our team is qualified and experienced across complex disability and behaviour support, and each participant is matched with a practitioner suited to their needs.
A genuinely multidisciplinary team. Positive Behaviour Support, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology work together, coordinating around the whole person rather than supporting needs in isolation.
Evidence-based and individualised. Every assessment and strategy is grounded in current best practice and built around the individual, their strengths, and their goals.
A considered, safe approach. Journey Supports works carefully and collaboratively with participants, families, care teams and the wider service system, with the wellbeing of everyone involved at the centre of our practice.
Our Commitment
We believe good support starts with listening. We take the time to understand each person’s strengths, goals and experiences, and work alongside them to create meaningful and practical change.
Our focus is on improving quality of life, building skills and opportunities, and supporting people to live the life they choose.
